Not only in our country, but in countries all around the world there are holidays that are celebrated somewhere almost everyday. We tend to take out holiday celebrations very seriously, some more so than others. There are some special days that we wait for all year long and the planning and preparation for those special occasions can begin long before the big day is even near.

Some might be paper, plastic, or rubber blow ups. Others can be electrical and some are made from glass or metal. No matter what type of material your decorations are made of you want o try and use them as many times as possible.
The key to saving money on many decorations is to buy them right after that particular holiday is over. Many stores will have them marked down to almost nothing. Other holiday decoration collectors might visit specialty stores that are open all year round and sell ornaments of all kinds. You might end up investing a little more money this way, but you might also be purchasing a better quality item that can not only be used for many years, but passed down from generation to generation. These are the kinds of holiday items that you will want to protect when they are in storage.
You might only get one or two uses from paper products, but they are relatively inexpensive to replace year after year. Some plastic decorations might last longer if they are stored away carefully. Glass items like Christmas tree ornaments or decorative lights need to be placed in containers that will not allow them to be squashed in any way. Rolling your electric lights onto a spool carefully after the holiday and storing them in a plastic bin, as well as any other fragile decorations, will keep them nice and tidy and protected until the next year. Remember that if you have holiday candles that you plan to use the next time, they must be stored somewhere that is cool. Storing these in an attic or basement that does not always stay cool can be a wasted effort.
